Our Program
At Royal Ridge English Shepherds, our program is built around a simple belief: a true farm dog should still be capable of doing the work it was originally valued for, We are committed to preserving the character, instinct, versatility, and sound temprement of the traditional English Shepherd through thoughtful, preservation minded breeding. Our program is rooted in historic Tennessee black-and-tan English Shepherd lineage with strong ties to respected preservation breeders and foundation stock. Located in inland Southern California. Ramona offers a unique blend of ranch country, rolling hills, vineyard, oak groves, and agricultural heritage. Our dogs are raised in a setting that reflects the versatility the English Shepherd was historically know for - open space, livestock exposure, family interation, and an active outdoor lifestyle. This enviroment allows our dogs to develop naturally with confidence, awareness, and strong human connection. Every breeding decision is made with long term goals in mind, including:

    There is something valuable about children growing up connected to animals, open land, and meaningful daily work. The kids are actively involved in caring for the animals, learning responsibility, and growing up surrounded by the rhythms of country life. Alongside our English Shepherds, our daughters also raise Holland Lop rabbits as part of their own developing farm experience.
